Article Directories

Article directories are websites that publish articles submitted by their members, in order to promote the author of the article. Article directories are an important component of article marketing, because once you create an article even if you publish it only on your website it doesn't count as much as having it distributed over hundreds of article directories.

There are 2 major ways to submit your article to article directories: automatic, using article submitter software such as Article Submitter and Submiteaze; or doing it manually. Submitting manually to article directories is a bit time consuming, so if you're doing it manually (article submission I'm talking about), make sure to submit your article to a list of relevant article directories.

Another thing to consider when submitting manually to article directories, is the uniqueness of the submitted articles. Having the same article with the same title/content over a network of 100 websites might not bring you as much "juice" from search engines, as you could get by submitting a different article to each article directory. But writing different articles for each article directory can be a bit time consuming, so you might consider using a software that automatically spins the content of articles so that they seem unique to search engines, such as Article Spinner.
